A light blue field bearing a central emblem of a white-edged black isosceles triangle in front of a smaller yellow triangle. The design, by Saint Lucian artist Dunstan St Omer, was adopted at independence.

Triangles
The paired triangles represent the Pitons, Saint Lucia’s famous twin volcanic peaks; their black and white together also symbolize harmony between different cultural influences.

Although the basic design dates from 1979, the shade of blue and proportions of the central emblem were slightly adjusted in 2002.
